Advisory
Know what your numbers are telling you.
Bookkeeping produces the data. Advisory is what the data is for — reporting, planning, and getting a business into shape before it goes looking for money.

01
Reporting
Reporting
Financials a decision can actually be made on.
A profit and loss that arrives four months late tells you what already happened. Reporting on a schedule tells you what to do next — which jobs make money, where the cash went, and what the trend is.
What that covers
- Monthly or quarterly management reporting
- Profit and loss by job, location or line
- Cash-flow position, not just profit
- A short read-out, not a stack of statements
02
Planning
Planning
Budgets, forecasts and the tax bill you can see coming.
Planning is mostly the discipline of looking one, two and four quarters ahead. Budget against actuals, a forecast that gets revised, and tax planned before December instead of discovered in April.
What that covers
- Budget and forecast, revised as the year moves
- Cash-flow planning for slow months
- Tax planning ahead of the filing, not after it
- Owner pay and distribution planning
03
Capital readiness
Capital readiness
Getting the numbers in the shape a lender or investor expects.
Most funding conversations stall on the financials, not the idea. This is the preparation work: clean books, statements that tie out, and a set of numbers you can defend in the room.
What that covers
- Books and statements reconciled and presentable
- The document set lenders and investors ask for
- Advice on seeking equity to grow the business
- Practice at answering questions about your own numbers
04
Mergers and acquisitions
Mergers and acquisitions
Financial planning for buying, selling or combining.
Financial preparation around a transaction — understanding what the numbers say about the business, what a buyer or seller will examine, and what has to be cleaned up before anybody looks.
What that covers
- Financial planning for a purchase or sale
- Getting records into diligence condition
- Understanding the financial side of an offer

05
Scope
What this is, and what it is not.
Advisory work here is financial: your books, your reporting, your planning and your readiness. It is not legal advice, investment advice or lending.
We work alongside your attorney, your banker and your insurance broker rather than standing in for them. Where something needs one of those, we will tell you plainly instead of taking the work.
